Visit Page Springs Cellars!

When it comes to wineries, Page Springs Cellars has it all. From massages in the vineyard to wine tasting, gourmet appetizers, & live music on the weekend. My friends and I have done it all and we keep coming back for more. The staff is very friendly and if you’re new to wine tasting, not to worry! They will help figure out the perfect wine for you. Inside the winery, it has a modern look with warm lighting and if you happen to stroll outside, there’s a scenic deck along the Oak Creek with plenty of seating throughout for everyone. I highly recommend the Wine Flight which includes a taste of 5 wines and a souvenir wine glass to take home all for $10. Page Springs Cellars is the perfect relaxing getaway after a long week and is only a 15 minute drive south of Sedona.

Eat at the Heartline Cafe

heartline cafe sedona azThe other day we went for lunch at the Heartline Cafe.  The atmosphere is excellent and the prices were affordable.  Most importantly the food was excellent. I had the Chipotle Chicken Wrap which was very good and loaded with chicken.

They serve breakfast all day and they do have a lunch menu besides the full dinner menu.   The menu is online and you can also reserve a table (recommended for dinner) on the website or give them a call.

Visit Harding Spring

If you’re driving up Oak Creek Canyon towards Flagstaff, you might want to make a

Harding Spring

Susan @ Harding Spring

quick stop at Harding Spring.  You can drive right up to it and park next to it.  It’s popular with locals who bring empty water jugs to be filled.  I’ve met people from all over the Verde Valley and the Flagstaff area who frequent it.

Harding Spring is an Artesian Spring that is piped across the creek to the roadside of 89A.  It has two taps that are always flowing and you can fill up a 5 gallon jug in a couple minutes max.  The water is clear and cold and very good.

#29: Barking Frog Grille – Sedona

Enjoy a lunch or dinner at the Barking Frog Grille in West Sedona.  The cuisine is American with a Southwest twist.   They serve everything from Mac & Cheese to Filet Mignon.  They serve the best Calamari I’ve had yet.  It’s served with a Roasted Yellow Pepper Remoulade.  I’m also a fan of the Black & Bleu Salad with candied Pecans, Bleu Cheese and Blackberries.

Look for discount coupons around town. They usually run specials.

Cowboy Club GrilleThe Cowboy Club Grille, formerly the Oak Creek Tavern,  has over fifty years of “Old West Tradition and Hospitality”.   This was the gathering place for the early settlers of Sedona which included the founding members of the Cowboy Artists of America while sitting in front of the fireplace on June 23rd, 1965.

The Cowboy Club is a relaxed, casual atmosphere  where the décor is Country and Western, showcasing the second largest set of Longhorn horns in the United States as well as original wood walls and a number of prominent Cowboy Artists’ works.  The Grille is well known for its fine Angus and Buffalo Steaks, Game, Fresh Seafood as well as signature dishes such as Cactus Fries and Rattlesnake.   Definitely some of the best high desert western food I have ever tasted!
