#27 – VERDE CANYON RAILROAD

Verde Canyon RailroadVisiting Sedona in the Winter time is beautiful & one of the best ways to spend a day is to take a ride on the Verde Canyon railroad.  This is an experience you will always remember as this majestic iron horse takes you back in time through the Verde canyon & along the Verde River.  This railroad is a train for all seasons & winter time is a great time to spot the wildlife & watch the bald eagles.  Every season there is a distinct change in the desert making each trip a new adventure.

TheVerde Canyon Railroad runs between the town of Clarkdale, just west of Sedona to Perkinsville, now a ghost ranch & back.  Sit back, relax & on your journey you get to learn about how Arizona was created, see the volcanic rock formations, watch for ancient Indian ruins, wildlife & spot more recognizeable shapes in the red rocks.  Truly a great way to get to know the high desert of Arizona!
